FAQs

  • How do I know if I need the Single or Dual system?

The Single and Dual systems are designed for different pond sizes, flow rates, and oxygen demands. In general, larger ponds, higher fish loads, and higher flow rates may benefit from the Dual system. If you’re unsure which model is right for your pond, review the sizing recommendations on the product pages or reach out to support@apexo2.com for guidance.

  • Is the oxygen concentrator included?

Yes. Every Apex O system includes a matching oxygen concentrator, tubing, and the necessary fittings to get started. No separate oxygen source is required.

  • Will Apex O work with my existing filtration system?

In most cases, yes. Apex O is designed to integrate with a wide variety of pond filtration systems and is typically installed inline with your existing plumbing.

  • How and where do I install my Apex O?

Apex O is installed inline with your existing filtration system. For best performance, it should be placed after the filter system and before water returns to the pond. Every pond system is different, so please refer to the installation guide for recommended configurations.

  • Can I install Apex O myself?

Many pond owners can install Apex O themselves using standard PVC plumbing practices. However, if you’re not comfortable modifying your plumbing, a pond professional can complete the installation for you.

  • How do I use the oxygen concentrator?

Connect the included oxygen concentrator to the Apex O using the supplied tubing and fittings. Once connected, set the concentrator to the recommended flow rate for your system and allow it to run continuously. Detailed setup instructions are included with your installation guide.

  • How much oxygen does Apex O add to my pond?

The amount of oxygen added depends on factors such as pond size, flow rate, water temperature, stocking density, circulation, and oxygen concentrator output. Every pond is different, but Apex O is designed to dramatically increase dissolved oxygen levels compared to traditional aeration methods.

  • Does Apex O require electricity?

The Apex O unit itself does not require electricity. The included oxygen concentrator does require power to operate.

  • What if my power goes out?

During a power outage, the oxygen concentrator will stop producing oxygen. For ponds in areas prone to outages, a backup power solution is recommended.

  • What is the long-term maintenance?

Apex O is designed to require very little maintenance. Periodically inspect fittings, tubing, and seals to confirm everything is operating properly. Maintenance requirements for the oxygen concentrator may vary by manufacturer, so follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for filter cleaning and replacement.

  • How do I troubleshoot a problem?

Start by checking all plumbing connections, verifying water flow through the system, and confirming that the oxygen concentrator is operating correctly. If you’re still experiencing issues, contact support@apexo2.com and we’ll help diagnose the problem.

  • Is there a warranty?

Yes. Apex O units are backed by a 3-year warranty. Oxygen concentrators are covered by a 1-year warranty.
